Funky Matcha x Pilates Complete – A Celebration of Matcha and Movement

In September 2024, Funky Matcha had the pleasure of hosting a vibrant pop-up event at the inspiring Pilates Complete studio in Gothenburg. It was a beautiful day filled with community, wellness, and our signature high-quality Japanese matcha.

A Day to Remember

Our goal was to create a space where people could slow down, connect, and discover the world of premium matcha in a relaxed and mindful setting. Here’s what the day looked like:

Curated Matcha Selection
We brought our finest selection of ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha straight from small farms in Japan. Visitors had the opportunity to explore different blends, learn about the craftsmanship behind our teas, and take home their favorites along with handpicked matcha tools and accessories.

Matcha Treats & Tastings
Guests were treated to a variety of matcha-infused pastries and sweets, made in collaboration with local bakers. From soft matcha cookies to rich matcha cheesecake, every bite was a celebration of flavor and quality.

Art & Atmosphere
The event also featured a small visual exhibition, highlighting the aesthetics and culture surrounding Japanese tea rituals. The minimalist interior of Pilates Complete provided the perfect backdrop for our clean, modern matcha concept.

Community & Conversation
Throughout the day, we had the chance to meet so many curious, health-conscious, and creative individuals. It was especially meaningful to see the crossover between movement and mindful consumption—a natural fit between matcha and pilates.
